BOOK
REVIEWS OF BOOKS I'M READING NOW! I'm reviewing
books on Amazon.com as I read them. Some of the latest are: Cross - James Patterson Thunderstruck
- Erik Larsen Wildfire - Nelson DeMille Memory-Keeper's Daughter, and others. Look any of these up on Amazon,
find my review, and that will lead you to all of them.
RIDING LESSONS By Sara Gruen If you loved THE HORSE
WHISPERER, you'll love this book. It moves along smoothly - this is a first novel for Sara, and a remarkable first! I read
this book in one sitting - which doesn't happen very often. Great story - look it up on amazon.com to get a synopsis and order
it!
ISLANDS by Anne Rivers Siddons Does she ever write a bad book? I love all the books that are set in the
outer banks area of North Carolina. This was her first book in a while, but worth waiting for!
NIGHT FALL by Nelson
DeMille I found this exploration of the causes for the crash of TWA 800 fascinating. If you haven't read Nelson DeMille,
read this one, Up Country, The Gold Coast, and all the rest of them. If you have the opportunity to go to a book signing -
go. You'll find him a charming, friendly writer, who loves to talk about where he gets his inspiration.
HONEYMOON
by James Patterson Don't you love everything by James Patterson? One of his latest, Honeymoon, was a good one, as is
the latest, Fourth of July. How does he do it? He puts out a book every four months - and I buy every one of them. I like
his style - short chapters with lots of action.
SINATRA by Anthony Summers I read this one because, back
when I was flying for TWA, I had some interesting experiences with the Rat Pack, and am always searching for references to
these times. To my amazement, I found a reference to a person who was my inspiration for a character in REQUITAL. I gave my
character all kinds of sinister associations - and the Sinatra biography confirmed that my suspicions were true! This is one
of the best books on Sinatra, if you find him as fascinating as I do! Haven't you always wondered if his marriage to Barbara
was happy?
